The terms “online business” and “digital business” are often used interchangeably, but they do have subtle distinctions.

An online business typically refers to a business that operates primarily on the internet, using websites and online transactions to conduct its operations.

On the other hand, a digital business encompasses a broader concept, including not only online operations but also the use of digital technology throughout various aspects of the business, such as automation, data analytics and digital communication strategies. In essence, while all online businesses are digital in nature, not all digital businesses are exclusively online.
